Struggling out of....

BED! Fridays are always a struggle. I peaked out my window to see if there was snow - an excuse I was willing to accept this morning - but no such luck! Of course Julianne gave us the excuse that she over slept...... yeah, yeah, yeah (We really wish we had too!) It was a good run however and as always the conversation distracted us from our weariness!

Unfortunately, it looks like this may have been our last run without a covering of snow (and ice). We will see what Sunday brings!

Yesterday I went to Fitness class again. I am not feeling it yet, but expect to as the day wears on. I became a little more graceful this time around - at least I was able to balance on one leg a LITTLE longer before I toppled over!

Warm and Sore??

Warm and Sore? What does that mean?

Well, I am a little sore from my fitness class on Tuesday. Yesterday I got progressively more sore as the day went on. I guess the good news is that I still have stomach muscles, the bad is that they need a little work!

Warm weather returned for the morning runners. 35 degrees felt like a heat wave. The wind was a little strong and against us on the last leg, but a nice morning to run!

New Fitness Class

I tried a new fitness class at Fit 4 Life called 'Grace' (no, not after my daughter - although she is a challenge too!). Its intensity comes from isometric moves that are combined with Yoga. It is not an aerobic class, rather focuses strength and balance. Even though I am aerobically fit, it proved to me that I need more balance in my fitness routine! I hope to make this class a regular habit and it works well since it is over the lunch hour.

It will be interesting to see how my muscles feel tomorrow!

January 9

Another 5.5 with Julianne, Christy and Mike. We thought the police were there to give us a red and white lighted escort, but it turned out they just had someone pulled over! Shoot!

It was a bit brisk (20 degrees) this morning with a wind from the north. Wind from the north is good though because it is at our backs for the last leg of the run.

January 8 - Winter is here, but the ice is not!

Another nice run this morning. Just Christy and I braved the cold. We were both worried that here would be ice, but there was no slipping and sliding!
